Backward Forward My condo was next to your family’s house and you and I were outside. The house and condo were on Happy Hollow ravine with many trees and it was winter. Your dad decided to start a controlled forest fire to keep down some of the growth. Unfortunately, the fire break that he created (digging a trench 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide; which did not meet the regulations) did not work and the fire spread towards your house and my condo. I can’t remember what happened to your house, but my condo started to catch fire so we had to fill buckets with water and throw it on the roof to prevent the embers from the firestorm from igniting the roof. I remember one of your VW bugs was in the way.
